This is my aunt, who was born Priscilla Sparks Sailer in 1910. She was one of the daughters of Joseph Sailer, M.D., and Mary Lowber Strawbridge. Priscilla was first married to J. Montgomery Deaver, a prominent Philadelphia surgeon, who died in 1978. She later married Stillman Kelley, with whom she lived year-round in Camden, Maine, where the Strawbridges and Sailers had spent summers for many years. She died in Camden in 1994. The photographs in the gallery on this page show her as well as J. Montgomery Deaver and their only child, Sally. Sally was a very accomplished athlete of Olympic quality in skiing and horseback riding. She was killed in a horseback-riding accident in 1963 at the age of 29.
