The tract of land is described as adjoining lands of Edward Manifold Joseph Kennard, Peter Knotz, and James Duncan. The deed mentions that this land was a patent enrolled in the Rolls Office. Mr. Strawbridge m. (1) in York co., Pa., May 26, 1801, ELIZABETH BOND, who was b. Nov. 10, 1780; d. Aug. 10, 1820; m. (2) Feb. 2, 1827, MRS. NANCY (Bankhead) NICHOLS,* b. Oct. 6, 1791 ; d. May 22, 1852 ; res. at Hopewell, Pa.; the family rem. about 1832 to Richmond, Wayne co., Ind. Mr. Strawbridge d. there July 29, 1851. He and his first wife were members of the Fawn Grove (York co., Pa.) Society of Friends, and after rem. to Indiana he was connected with the Yearly Meeting at Richmond.

2, son, of JOSEPH (1), was a mason by trade; himself and wife both d. when their son Thomas was quite small. It is thought that they lived in Lancaster City, Pa.
