My grandmother, Mary Lowber Strawbridge, lived from 1875 to 1963. She married my grandfather, Dr. Joseph Sailer, in 1901. They had ten children, of whom seven survived to adulthood, including my mother, Mary Lowber Sailer, who married my father, William Wilson White, and, after his death, married R. Barclay Knight. There is a good deal of information about my grandmother in a page of my mother’s recollections about “The Wilderness,” the home of my grandmother’s partents.
