Samuel Welsh, a son of John Welsh and Jemima Maris and a brother of John and William Welsh, was born on September 3, 1803. In 1831, he married Elizabeth T. Evans, who died in 1874. He then married Anna Lewis Randolph in 1878. He was in business with his brothers in Philadelphia. He died on June 14, 1890, and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia.
